Denise Sayer
Denise acts for large and small businesses in a broad range of corporate commercial litigation matters including: shareholder and partnership disputes, franchise disputes, director, officer and employment claims, issues arising from the purchase and sale of businesses, and professional negligence claims. She has a particular expertise in navigating shareholder disputes arising in closely held private corporations. She also routinely assists U.S. counsel with Canadian aspects of ongoing U.S. litigation, such as the enforcement of letters of request, or with Canadian employment matters.
Denise is a current member of the Advocates’ Society Arbitration and Mediation Advocacy Practice Group Executive, and a former member of the Advocates’ Society Commercial Practice Group Executive and former member of the Young Advocates’ Standing Committee.
Prior to joining Paris & Company, Denise practiced corporate commercial and class action litigation at Osler LLP and Paliare Roland Rosenberg Rothstein LLP in Toronto and clerked for the Justices of the Court of Appeal for Ontario.
